Banners

Banners can come in all shapes and sizes. There are "standard" size banners, if depends on the purpose and reason for why you are making a banner as to the size of the banner.

There are essentially 2 types of banners. Animated & Static.

Flash banners & GIF Banners are the filetypes of animated banners. Flash banners often involve more complex animations and GIF banners are for more simple animation. Flash allows for a wider variety of options as well, such as user interaction with the banner. If you've ever seen those banners where you have to swat a fly, or shoot an alien to win a prize, or whatever, those are flash banners.

Static banners can be either GIF or JPEG.

Below are some sample banners we've created for clients over the years:

Examples of .gif banners :

This banner is an animated gif. All hand drawn.

This banner is another animated GIF. It really needs to
be a FLASH banner because in this nice example, the
file size is too large to be useful for dial up modems.
Notice the bee goes in and out of the letters. All hand drawn.
Hit Refresh to see the animation.

Took a product image and used text effects to generate this banner.

 Examples of Flash animation:

The cards were all hand drawn and thusly 100% copyrighted.
It's very useful to own the rights to your own graphics.

Using Flash to demonstrate concepts and ideas.
