Affiliate Programs

Just the other day, we helped a client by installing their own affiliate program on their website. A self managed affiliate program is very affordable and we have experience with setting those up, because we've been using them on our own sites for years.

What is an affiliate program? It's basically a referral plan. If you have your own affiliate program, then you can reward people for helping sell your product.

You can also do the opposite and sign up for other websites referral programs and sell their stuff or lead your customers to their websites and get a percentage of the sale.

For example, Amazon.com has an affiliate program. They will give you money if you promote their products on your website. Typically about 5% with amazon.com. Other companies pay more. Most of the big name companies have affiliate programs. Target, Wal-Mart, etc. Why? Because they work.

Affiliate programs are a great way to earn extra money from your site and if you are selling products then it's a great way to get more traffic to your site and a way to increase your sales.
